From Rosalía to D’Angelo, Lily Allen to Dalida, and Tame Impala to Marc Almond —to name just a few— this was the soundtrack of our last few months.

We won’t lie: this autumn was a fairly flat period. No big moves, no spectacular events, “no alarms and no surprises.” Which is good sometimes. We paid our usual taxes, visited the Government Center, and continued our daily tasks and projects — some of which, to be honest, were truly intriguing.

Musically, we moved from our Emotional Rescue indie darlings — Stereolab, MGMT, Mild Orange, and CMAT — to anchored legends like Dinah Washington, The Rolling Stones, and Fleetwood Mac. We felt deeply sad for D’Angelo’s and ex-Soft Cell’s Dave Ball’s passings, and were touched by Rosalía’s new classical era. High-energy beats from Kaytranada, Hot Chip, and Y.A.S. kept us moving, while new entries from Geese, James K, and Sam Fender have us impatient for their next steps.
